A whirlwind tour of some gorgeous greenhouses for the home grower and the commercial grower!
Into my mailbox come many different advertisements. This time of year, the trade is trying to get us to expand, upgrade or add on. I drool over some of these structures and would like you to see some examples of what is out there.
Let me start with http://www.cpenterprise.com. Here you will see pictures of large, high and airy houses with one of the newest options, a retracting roof. This type of roof lets all that damp, stagnant air right out the top. No fans running up the electric bill to exchange the air inside. Efficient cooling on sunny days. This is one of the best innovations in plastic covered greenhouses. Notice the nice high sides on so many of these houses. I forfeit an entire row of tomatoes in our original house because we did not know enough to order higher sides. I don't get many tomatoes off a 3 foot high plant and my back doesn't like being in that space as well. Next time we have to replace the plastic, we will add more pipes to raise the sides up higher.
